REFINING DEPARTMENT / POLISHER'S AND FLOOR SWEEPS

Whether you have five pounds or one hundred and five pounds of this waste, we will process your floor or polishing sweeps with precision and accuracy. Our in-house facility with state of the art burning, crushing, and sifting equipment combined with our professionally trained technicians assures you of this. Call us for your waste containers and pick-up service at no charge.
We invite you to visit and observe the processing of any of your materials first hand. Our facilities are designed so that you may safely "represent" their handling and processing. As prime refiners of precious metals only we can make this offer. Unlock the hidden value of all your scrap, bench sweeps, dust, polishing and floor sweeps through our facilities.
Burning... is a preliminary process for polishing, dust and sweepings. To properly burn these materials with the most efficiency, the roasting temperature range must be controlled to between 500°F and 900°F. Slow burning guarantees keeping 100% of the ash in pans.
Crushing... or pulverization is the second step for materials not ready for the smelter. These materials are crushed in various sized and specially designed crushers. Inside you will find steel munitions and rods to help in the process.
Sifting... is the next step. After crushing, the sweeps are treated to our sifters to remove unwanted coarses. Different size screens are used while the siffer vibrates and forces the fine materials down through gravity. Kristine is our work horse, loud but very efficient.
Mixing... To ensure a proper sweeps sample for analysis, we use a "V Blender" to mix the "Fines" extracted from our sifter. Once all the steps above are taken, the material is sampled and sent to our laboratory for assaying. Note that we even have a mini-blender for those small lots of 5 and 10lbs are also processed.
